When looking at the characters of Ahab and Elijah in this biblical account, both saw the others as “troublers of Israel.” You see, Ahab and Elijah both had a vision for how the people of Israel were to be led. Ahab’s vision was to trust and follow the Baals. The culture and the church have competing visions for the direction of the land. Each sees the other as troublers. What must God’s people do?
