Good morning! Could it be that Christians who struggle with finding hope in this word struggle because of their lack of engagement in the Scriptures? That engagement shows where our hope lies to help with our endurance and encouragement.
The entirety of Scripture serves “for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Tim 3:16-17). Do you want to be equipped for every good work? Do you want to see where your hope lies? Do you want help in enduring? Do you need encouragement?
Go to the Scriptures! Go to that place where you are equipped for every good work.
Are you in the Scriptures every day? If you are starting out reading the Scriptures, ask the Scriptures three questions:
- What does this say about who God is? (Attributes)
- What does this say about what He’s done? (Actions)
- What needs to change in us? (Repentance)
In other words, read your Bibles with intentionality! You’ll be glad you did!
